Fastest response

Emergency Plumbing

Burst pipes, failed flexi hoses and water where it should not be. Old galvanised thins from the inside and a decade-old flexi hose goes without warning, so we are on call across Penrith 24 hours.

Emergency call-outs

Hot Water

Repairs and same-day swaps on gas, electric, heat pump and solar. In the hottest part of Sydney it is usually the thermostat, board or seals that go rather than the tank, and we will tell you which before you replace anything.

Hot water repairs

Gas Fitting

Licensed gas work on cooktops, heaters and lines, with the compliance certificate lodged on every job. In the newer estates the first question is whether the lot has a gas connection at all, and often it does not.

Taps, Leaks & Burst Pipes

Dripping taps, slab leaks and burst pipes traced and fixed. Acoustic and thermal locating means we open one spot instead of trenching a big block looking for it.

What a plumber costs in Penrith

Almost no plumbing site publishes a figure anywhere. These are the 2026 Sydney entry numbers, put here so you can sanity-check whatever quote is in front of you, including ours. Those are broad numbers: the cost of getting a plumber out, and the hourly market rate. Costs for specific jobs are on each service page.

01

Getting someone out: $0–$180

Booked through this site the attendance fee comes off completely. Booked any other way and a standard Sydney call-out sits near the top of that range.

02

The hourly rate you will be quoted elsewhere: $100–$150

The going daytime rate across Sydney, and what most quotes are silently built from. We do not work that way, and the reason is under these cards.

03

After hours, weekends and holidays: $180–$250

What the market loads on for nights, weekends and public holidays. Ours is a job figure settled before the van leaves, with nothing added at the end.

04

A typical emergency repair: $250–$700

A burst isolated, a blocked line cleared, a gas installation made safe. One figure, rather than a clock that starts the moment we pull up.

05

Your fixed price: agreed first

Written down before a tool comes out. If what we find changes the job, you approve a new figure before anything continues.

Two of those cards are the market rate rather than ours, and we left them there on purpose. An hourly figure tells you what the plumber earns, not what the job costs, and it hands you the risk of a slow afternoon. We price the job instead, so the number you approve is the number you pay. If you already know the work needed, the real figures sit on the blocked drains, pipe relining, burst pipes and leaks, hot water and gas fitting pages.

The difference between a plumber and a licensed plumber.

Anyone can call themselves a plumber. A licensed one carries a NSW licence number, real insurance, and the legal accountability that comes with both, so when a gas job is certified or a repair signed off, it actually means something.

The plumbers who come out here are licensed, insured and working this district daily. Every job is done to code and carries a lifetime workmanship warranty in writing.

Plumbing in Penrith

Penrith runs hotter than anywhere else in Sydney and sits on a working floodplain, and both of those show up in the plumbing. This is the district that recorded 48.9 degrees on 4 January 2020, the highest temperature ever measured in an Australian metropolitan area. It is also the Hawkesbury-Nepean valley, where the March 2021 flood was the first major one since 1990. From the post-war streets of Cambridge Park and Werrington to the newer estates at Jordan Springs and Caddens, a licensed local plumber is minutes away, same-day and 24 hours for genuine emergencies.

Common plumbing problems we see in Penrith

  • Heat that breaks the fittings, not the tank. Roof cavities here pass 50 degrees on a hot afternoon. It is not the water that suffers, it is the thermostats, control boards and seals around it, which is why units out here usually fail electrically and usually in February.
  • Hot water systems giving out. Sydney's water is soft, so a dead unit here is a spent anode or element rather than scale. After a run of 40 degree days a weeping relief valve is usually the valve working, not failing, and we will tell you that rather than sell you a new one.
  • Ageing galvanised & earthenware pipe. Cambridge Park, Kingswood, Werrington and South Penrith still run galvanised steel that corrodes from the inside out, over earthenware sewer with mortared joints and sixty years of tree roots on top.
  • Gas fitting & compliance. Cooktops, heaters and gas lines in older homes often hide non-compliant runs. Our licensed gas fitters bring them up to code and certify on the spot.
  • Estates with no gas at all. Much of Jordan Springs, Caddens and Claremont Meadows was built all-electric with no gas connection to the lot. That turns a cooktop or heater swap into a network question, and it is worth asking before you buy the appliance.
  • Storm & stormwater backups. When rain sits over the Nepean catchment the sewer main surcharges and your yard gully overflows because it is designed to. That is not a blockage on your property, and we will say so before dispatching anyone.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you're tied up right now, leave your details and we'll call you straight back as soon as possible.

Still have a question? Licensed plumber van servicing Penrith
How much does a plumber charge per hour in Penrith?

Sydney plumbers typically ask $100 to $150 an hour, but hourly rates conceal the true job cost. We price the whole job before we start, so the figure you approve is fixed with no meter running against it.

How fast can you get to me in Penrith?

For genuine emergencies we aim to have a licensed plumber to you within the hour across Penrith and the surrounding suburbs, day or night, weekends and public holidays included.

Do you charge a call-out fee?

Before coming out we tell you any call-out or after-hours fee, so the invoice contains no surprises. Book online and we'll waive the standard call-out fee entirely.

How do I know you're a licensed plumber?

Our NSW plumbing licence is 368473C, and you can verify it on the NSW Fair Trading register. Unlicensed plumbing work is illegal in NSW and voids your insurance, so always ask for the number. We put ours on every quote.

My hot water system failed and it isn't that old. Why?

The water is soft across Sydney, so scale rarely kills a unit here the way it does in harder-water cities. Usually the sacrificial anode is finished or an element has failed, and often we can repair it. You will be told which is the better spend, repairing or replacing, before we touch the unit.

My drain only backs up in heavy rain. Is that a blockage?

Often it is not. Sewer and stormwater are separate systems, and when rain sits over the Nepean catchment the sewer main surcharges and relieves at the lowest opening on your property, usually the yard gully. If it clears soon after the rain stops and behaves the rest of the time, nothing on your property is blocked and there is nothing to pay us to fix.

Does the heat out here really affect plumbing?

It does, and mostly to the fittings rather than the water. Penrith recorded 48.9 degrees on 4 January 2020, the highest ever measured in an Australian metropolitan area. A hot water unit in a roof cavity sits in air hotter again, so thermostats, control boards and seals age faster than the cylinder does. It is also why relief valves weep after a hot run, which is the valve working rather than failing.

Does my estate even have gas?

Often not. Much of Jordan Springs, Caddens and Claremont Meadows was built all-electric with no gas connection to the lot at all. That turns a gas cooktop or heater from a fitting job into a network connection, which is a very different cost and lead time. Worth asking before you buy the appliance rather than after.

What areas around Penrith do you cover?

The whole Penrith LGA and every suburb around it: North Penrith, Kingswood, Cambridge Park, Werrington, St Marys, Cranebrook, Jordan Springs, Llandilo and more.

Hot water systems we service and replace

Hot water is the call that comes in most, and these are the makes behind it. Gas storage and electric tanks through the post-war streets, continuous flow where a renovation added it, and heat pumps going into the all-electric estates. Repairing and replacing hot water systems is the single thing we do most out here, and we are straight about what each job costs and the age at which a unit stops being worth saving.

We service and replace these systems as an independent licensed plumber. We are not an agent for, or endorsed by, any of these manufacturers.
